1) 2027 Glenn Payan Art Calendar

We are very pleased to announce the inaugural Glenn Payan Art Calendar for 2027! This calendar, of the utmost quality, is artist-produced and will first be available at the Fall Studio Tour, November 7-9th. See “Events” for exact times the Minty Drive Studio is open that weekend.

The 2027 calendar is made of thick, heavy card paper with a gloss finish. It has been suggested that the images could be framed as prints once 2028 rolls around.

$40. all taxes included. Very limited numbers (only 46 made). If demand is high, there may be time to squeeze in another printing before years’ end.

2) Puzzle (It’s back!)

Pomegranate is a leading art-stationary company making world class quality puzzles out of Portland Oregon. In 2024 they released the “Happy Days Are Here Again” 1000-piece puzzle. For those who missed it last year, the puzzle is back at the Minty Drive Studio. Available during the Fall Studio Tour on November 7th-9th. Less that 25 have been ordered so grab yours quick.

3) Glenn Payan Art Collectible A6 Notebooks

It’s ’LOG NOTES! Produced by Glenn Payan Art, this month you have a choice of 5 different notebooks (see below). Each one bears a cover image of a Payan painting. These handy 48-page “anaLOGue” (hence ’LOG) notebooks are part of a trend back to the old days when people still used pencil and paper. Slim enough to fit in a pocket with a stubby pencil, but big enough to write or sketch what’s on your mind, these carry a wad of heavy duty paper in either 80 or 100 gsm, with even a heavier duty cover. You can probably get away with a bit of water colour art with the 100gsm paper notebooks. Three different page types will be available: blank, lined and — the most popular — a faint grid of dots.

These are collectibles — meaning there is a limited run of each notebook and each one is signed and numbered. In the A6 sized ’LOG NOTES there are 12 different themed sets. Each set can have anywhere from 4 to 15 notebooks. Each notebook will have a different cover painting AND each notebook will have a limited printing of 10 to 100 booklets. (For example, the Mayne Island themed notebooks will only have 4 different images of Mayne Island paintings on the covers. The number of copies of Mayne Island Notebook 1 (seen in the photo below on the left) is the largest at 100 notebooks.)

Inside the front cover is information about the cover painting, inside the back cover is information about the notebooks themselves, ideas for usage, as well as a short bio on the artist. The back cover has the various notebook themes listed as well as a spot the booklet has been numbered and signed. Some notebooks, where it is warranted, will have the title ’LOG NOTES on the cover. Most will not though, leaving an unmarred reproduction on the cover.

Look for special editions as well. For example, in Notebook 5 (on the right below) we have the highly coveted “Totally Sketchy Insert” where the last page of the notebook bears a reproduction of an initial sketch of the cover painting, pulled from the artist’s sketchbook. Notebook 5 will go fast as only 25 have been be made in the A6 size.

No more will ever be made with these images in this size of notebook. These are it. Collect them. Trade them. Frame them. Great as a gift as singles or as a money saving bundle. Go after the rare ones, or just pick your favourite cover and start keeping your phone in your pocket a little more often — after all that’s what these are all about. Amazing what it’ll do for yer noggin.

$10 for the 80gsm paper notebooks and $12 for the 100gsm ones, taxes included. Regularly $56 to buy all 5 notebook individually, but bundled you pay only $50 ($45 + taxes).

Our first 5 booklets will be available at the Minty Drive Studio for the November Studio Tour. Our first 5 themes are (left to right): Mayne Island, The Old West, The Prairies, the Vincent Collection and The Okanagan. We’d like to have a new notebook available every couple of months and, if popular, perhaps 1-2 more before year’s end 2026.
